Description
Intel and SMS Audio joined forces in New York City to launch a new pair of biometric headphones, the BioSport, at the center of contemporary art and technology, The New Museum. The new BioSport line of fitness headphones features a tiny biometric sensor in the ear bud. The small sensor allows you to track your pulse while you workout. To celebrate this breakthrough technology, we created an interactive, digital and physical art installation called the "Heart Bot" for guests to experience at the event.  The Heart Bot is an experimental drawing machine controlled by the heart rate of a viewer. Heart Bot collects heart rate data from a large group of people during a fixed time, at a fixed location and translates it into generative art, demonstrating that each individual experiences a moment in a very personal way. The final work of art created by Heart Bot was donated to Feeding America®, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity.
